Indian heroes of 62nd Independence Day

On getting out of my house at 8.00 AM I was pleased to see the residents of Fifth Cross Street, Shenoy Nagar, Chennai 600 030, India gathered in singnificant number to participate in the Flag hoisting function of our 62nd Independence day. I felt guilty for not attending the function in my own street but excused myself as I was proceeding to attend the same function at my hospital. At the end of the function while singing the National Anthum I realised that this function does infuse a sense of unity with fellowmen and proud feeling that you are an Indian.

When I got back to my house after finishing the work at the hospital and some Indepence day shopping I was surprised and delighted to know that the Shenoy Nagar Fifth Cross Street residents association had finished conducting a free Eye Camp by the doctors and staff of a well known Ophtholmic Surgeon in my clinic successfuly. They had examined 100 patients and made arrangement to dispense glasses free of cost.

At the end of the day I feel the officilas and residents of the Shenoy Nagar Fifth Cross Street residents aaasociation and the doctors and staff of the Ophtholmic Clinic are the Heroes of the 62nd Independence day of India. Hat off to them.
